Nothing Goes to Waste: From Corn Stalk to Soil
Yellow Corn Crop Residue Recovery at Cheong Vege
At Cheong Vege, we are working towards a more circular farming system by finding responsible ways to manage the agricultural biomass remaining after our yellow corn harvest.
Giving Corn Crop Residues a New Purpose
After harvesting our yellow corn, the remaining corn stalks are not simply treated as field waste. The crop residues are mechanically chopped and incorporated back into the field using farm machinery.
Effective Microorganisms (EM) are then used as part of our soil-management process to support the decomposition of organic residues and soil conditioning.
Our Crop Residue Recovery Approach
Our Sustainability Approach
Harvest → Recover → Return to Soil → Regenerate → Grow Again
